A defined card format with coordinated components

Royal Flush is an A6 foil insert-card set for the Cricut Joy workflow. The cut front reveals an insert behind it, while the included foil sheets add another decorative operation. That is a different structure from a plain sheet of cardstock or a loose metallic-foil sampler. The palette is deliberately coordinated: black and white cards, gold-metallic and burnt-red inserts, and gold and red foil sheets. Decide how those components should be paired before preparing the file. A card that works well with one insert color may reveal a different visual balance when the same cut is backed by another.

Eight finished card sets, not thirty-two cards

The detailed contents list eight cards, eight inserts, eight foil sheets, and eight white envelopes. A generic thirty-two-piece field counts components, not thirty-two finished greeting cards. The card rectangle is 4.5 by 6.25 inches; inserts are 4.25 by 6 inches, foil sheets four by six, and envelopes 4.6 by 6.5. Those differing dimensions serve different jobs. The outside card size is not the full supported design area. Use the appropriate template and mat guidance rather than extending artwork to the edge of the folded card or treating the foil sheet as the card's entire decorated face.

Confirm the Joy-specific tools before starting

The source requires a Cricut Joy Card Mat and Joy Foil Transfer Tool, both sold separately. An ordinary cutting mat and a Foil Transfer Tool from another machine family should not be assumed equivalent. Check the exact equipment and supported software sequence, including when foiling and cutting occur. Review small cutouts and the insert's attachment points in the intended design before using a card. A trial on the appropriate setup can show whether the chosen text and decorative line weight work at A6 scale. The included foil does not mean the package contains a powered heat tool or a complete cutting machine.

Compare A6 with the smaller Celebration format

The Celebration set uses A2 cards at 4.25 by 5.5 inches and a different palette. Choose between them based on artwork scale, message length, and the intended color combinations, not only the shared eight-card count. For Royal Flush, allocate each card, insert, foil color, and envelope before beginning a personalized run so the components remain paired. Keep finished cards and unused foil protected from bending. If a design needs several foil colors, check the supported process and whether the relevant sheets provide enough coverage. Retain the approved file with the card-size setting so a later project does not accidentally use an A2 layout on this A6 stock.

A closer look at this choice

Keep the A6 identity attached to the file and complete card count. A design prepared for another card format can misplace cuts around the corners or leave the insert unsupported. Make a paper prototype of the chosen layout and confirm the finished fold and envelope fit. Count cards, inserts, and envelopes separately when verifying the package. A larger component total should not be quoted as the same number of completed greetings, especially when a trial card is part of the plan.
