Design a circular composition from the start

A round coaster is a small composition with a clear outer boundary. A central initial, a compact emblem, or a balanced repeated pattern can work differently from a rectangular shirt graphic reduced to fit. The package contains four ceramic blanks with a listed 3.6-inch diameter. The supplier describes a coating intended for the Infusible Ink system. That receiving surface is the relevant attribute; the coaster is not simply a piece of ordinary ceramic with a familiar shape. Choose the supported transfer method and template before refining the artwork so the design respects both the circular form and the documented application area.

A circle is not its enclosing square

A 3.6-inch-diameter circle occupies an approximate 3.6-by-3.6-inch bounding square, but the corners of that square are outside the coaster. Keep essential text and detail within the supported circular layout rather than assuming every point in the rectangle will transfer. Four blanks can become one coordinated set or four separate small gifts. Decide that relationship before assigning artwork. For a matching set, a repeated margin and consistent scale can make different illustrations feel related. The physical blank count contains no extra coaster for a failed attempt, so plan any material trial and replacement needs separately.

Follow the coaster-specific transfer arrangement

The source identifies Infusible Ink sheets and the brand's Infusible Ink pens and markers as compatible decoration families. An ordinary glitter gel pen or metallic craft marker is not an Infusible Ink pen just because it fits a cutting machine. Select the correct consumables and follow the coaster's current stacking, protection, orientation, and heating instructions. A generic retailer “height” field is not used as the coaster thickness or design dimension. Keep the blank clean and handle it as the instructions require. The coating's role in the process should not be replaced with assumptions drawn from an uncoated tile or a different coaster material.

Plan the set and the presentation together

For four personalized coasters, proof every name and use a shared alignment reference in the artwork. If several designs come from a patterned transfer sheet, plan the cut positions together so the color relationship is deliberate. A mug blank is a different receiving shape, so its wrap template and heating setup are not interchangeable with a flat round coaster. Retain the supported instructions and an approved sample if the set may be expanded later. The supplier makes permanence claims, but our store has not performed wear or cleaning tests.
